The Blog Opens

Hi all (or no one)

Just opened this blog today, mainly to keep my family and any interested party informed of my progress during my upcoming backpacking tour to Europe!

I leave Canada on May 4'th, and will land in London, Gatwick on the same day. I will most likeley leave London the next day (I have a 5 day stay there at the end of the trip, so I will explore then), most likely head to Newcastle, take a ferry to Amsterdam from there, and over the course of the next two months, make my way down, through Paris, into Spain, back up into southern France, maybe a quick stop in Switzerland, a lot of time in Italy, and finally to Greece.

After these two months, I will head to Germany, where I will meet up with my parents who will be coming over at that point. From there on, we will spend a month visiting relatives and such, as that is where we are from.

I expect to hit an internet cafe every two to three days, so expect updates at that rate along with plenty of pictures, and anything else I deem BLOG-worthy!

That's all for the intro. Maybe I'll post a pic of my gear before I leave.
